Will a hairdresser be able to dye my light auburn (dyed) hair blonde?

I’m planning on going back to my natural (or slightly lighter) blonde hair colour, but as I have dyed my hair a LOT in the past, it has ended up a light auburn/brown colour. If i go to a salon will they be able to get it to blonde if they strip my hair first?

  1. They’ll probably bleach it.

  2. They should be able to but you’d probably have to let them take a sample of your hair first and try dye on that to make sure they can get the colour to lift as your hair colour isn’t natural, and is a result of dye it may be hard to lift. But they managed to do this with my hair so they should be able to with yours. Be warned though stripping your hair and if they have to use a toner on it after to get the colour nice and blonde if they dye doesn’t do such a good job your hair will be VERY dry afterwards!
