More like dark red.

What color high lights would look good with dark hair? I was thinking a reddish auburn color. ?

Image by yeah that’s my question, and this next question is kind of awkward but …

  1. maybe a little less orangey?

  2. Yes You could probably pull it off, but i think you would look better in the hair color you have now. So if i were you i would stick with your hair color, or buy a semi-permanent hair color so if you hate it, you could always wash it out 🙂

  3. Maybe less red and more brown. It would look great!

    Answer mine? 🙂

  4. I suggest a deeper color will look better with your complexion.

  5. I think it would have to be a really dark red for it to look good. Auburn only works on really pale people. I wish I could pull it off, too!

  6. I’d say about a lil more brownish with the red mixed with it

  7. I actually don’t think that color would look good on you. I’ve done auburn off and on for years and one thing I can say is that auburn actually makes your skin look a lot darker. I have photos of myself with brown hair, where my skin looks very light, and photos 2-3 days later after I went auburn and I look really tan. Something about the warm red and copper makes skin look darker. So, since your skin is already dark I think that color wouldn’t work. You could do a burgundy brown or plum brown, like a level 3 maybe but it won’t look red except in the sun.
